1. MS Plate & HR Sheet Weight
Weight (kg) = L(m) × W(m) × T(mm) × 7.85
Standard 8x4 ft (2500x1250 mm) 5mm plate = 2.5 × 1.25 × 5 × 7.85 = 122.65 kg.
2. TMT Rebars (Sariya) Formula
Weight (kg/m) = D² / 162.2
12mm bar = 144 / 162.2 = 0.888 kg/m. Standard 12-meter bar = 10.65 kg.
3. MS Round Pipe / Tube Formula
Weight (kg/m) = (OD - T) × T × 0.02466
OD: Outer diameter in mm, T: Wall thickness in mm. Multiply by pipe length in meters.
4. Square Box Pipe (SHS)
Weight (kg/m) = 4 × (Side - T) × T × 0.00785
Conforms to IS:4923 specifications for hollow pre-engineered building sections.
5. MS Equal / Unequal Angle
Weight (kg/m) = (A + B - T) × T × 0.00785
Where A & B are leg widths in mm, and T is thickness in mm (IS:808 / IS:2062).
6. Chequered Plate & Channels
Plate Wt = Base Plate + 2.5 kg/m² (Pattern)
